E-Waste Pick Up
Do you have an old television you no longer want? Electronic items cannot be tossed in with your regular trash or placed in a trash bin. You can call City Hall at 949-639-0500 and schedule an electronic waste pick-up; this program does not include large appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, but all sizes of televisions can be picked-up. The City's contractor picks up electronic items in the community twice a month. Once you are on the list, you will receive a letter or phone call letting you know your pick-up date. If you have a large item that you cannot get outside, the contractor can arrange to come into your home and take it out.

Moulton Parkway Smart Street Project
The City is is completing the acquisition of property for the Moulton Parkway Smart Street improvement. This project will NOT add new traffic lanes to Moulton; it will add sidewalks, bicycle lanes and left and right turn lanes. Although the City continues to negotiate with the property owner of record - the Golden Rain Foundation of Laguna Woods (GRF) - for the acquisition of the last parcels required for the improvement, the City Council adopted a resolution of intention to proceed with eminent domain on several of the required parcels at its January 21, 2009 meeting. A portion of this project is partially funded with grant funding that may be lost if construction does not commence this year. The City continues to negotiate with GRF and is hopefully that a mutually acceptable agreement on all of the the required acquisitions will be reached.
