V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS

A. Report on Potential Programs for FY 2004-2005

Proposed Action: Committee to finalize programs, trips and attached schedule for these activities in FY04-05 and discuss the proposed “Smile and Say Hello” campaign.

VII. CHAIRMAN COMMENTS

The Chairman Lee Kobin and staff member Patrick Foley attended the California Association of Human Relations Organizations’ (CAHRO) 29th Anniversary Conference on Friday, April 23, 2004.  The Chairman will report on her attendance at the workshop on “Courage to Protect the Unpopular: Immigrants, Transgendered, Religious and Ethnic Minorities.

Staff member Patrick Foley will report on his attendance at the workshop on “Courage to Build and Sustain Human Relations in Local Government.”

VIII. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS

Committee Member Victor Kay will make a presentation on newspaper articles carried over from last month’s meeting.
