SPECIAL MEETING

July 20, 2005

1:30 P.M.

I.    CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Ross called the Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Laguna Woods to order at 1:30 p.m.

II.   FLAG SALUTE

Councilmember Hack led the flag salute.

III.  ROLL CALL

COUNCILMEMBERS    PRESENT:    Hack, Ring, Robbins, Bouer, Ross

      ABSENT:     None

STAFF PRESENT:    City Manager Keane; City Attorney Biggs; Assistant City Manager Reilly, Community Development Director Barr, Attorney Bruce Gridley; City Clerk Condon

The City Council recessed at 1:33 p.m. into Closed Session

IV.   CLOSED SESSION

The City Council met in closed session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, to give direction to its real property negotiator, Leslie Keane, with respect to the purchase of an approximately one acre property located at 24264 El Toro Road (APN 621-121-7).  Negotiating party:  Raintree Realty LLC.  Under negotiation:  price and terms of payment.

The City Council reconvened in open session and there was no reportable action.  

V.  ADJOURNMENT

The meeting was adjourned at 1:58 p.m. to a Regular Meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Laguna Woods City Hall, 24264 El Toro Road, Laguna Woods, CA 92637.
