AGENDA DESCRIPTION: The Agenda descriptions are intended to give notice, to members of the public, of a general summary of items of business to be transacted or discussed. 

 

Any person wishing to address the Water Quality Committee on any matter, whether or not it appears on this agenda, may do so under the appropriate section of the agenda.   Whenever possible, lengthy testimony should be presented to the Committee in writing (12 copies) and only pertinent points presented orally.  Requests to speak to items on the agenda shall be heard at the appropriate point on the agenda; requests to speak about subjects not on the agenda will be heard during the Public Comment section of the meeting.

A. Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance

 

Staff will provide an overview of the State Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance and the regulator context under which it was developed and enforced. 

 

Recommended Action: Provide recommendations to staff regarding adoption of a local Ordinance updating the previous State model.

     

B. Water Quality Committee 2005 Work Plan

 

The Committee will take this opportunity to look at project goals and objectives and prioritize work projects for the coming year.

 

Recommended Action: Provide Staff direction for project development and establish project work groups for the coming year.

 

C. South Orange County Integrated Regional Water Management Plan

 

Staff will provide the committee an overview of the plan and an update on the status of implementation.

 

  Recommended Action: This is an informational item, no action required.

 

D. Stormwater Program / Project Update

* El Toro Water District Open House
