Laguna Woods Mini-branch Library

(By: | Composed: 11/05/02 | Modified: 11/05/02)

The Laguna Woods Mini-branch library, located in city hall, offers the public computer access to the Orange County Library database. Books, audio tapes, cassettes and some videotapes can be ordered and delivered to city hall for pick-up. Individuals may also reserve library documents from home computers and have them delivered to city hall for pick-up. There is a 25 cent charge for each item ordered.

In addition to titles of information available, computer users can also access full-text magazine and newspaper articles on a variety of subjects.

Three public computer terminals are located in the city hall lobby; visitors can browse the county library database, surf the entire internet and receive and send email. The terminals are also available to the public for word processing (Microsoft Word and Publisher) and spread sheet (Excel) applications. They are available Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

To use the terminals, visitors must have an Orange County Library card and a personal identification number (PIN). These can be obtained at any county library during normal operating hours (varies per library) and at Laguna Woods City Hall between 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is no charge for use of the terminals, document printing or internet services.

For more information about this program, contact the city hall librarian at (949) 639-0530 or the general city information number (949) 639-0500.
