Community Services Committee - July 28, 2010
The regular July 28, 2010 meeting of the Community Services Committee has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items.
City Hall Honey Bees
Laguna Woods City Hall has relocated honey bees to hives on the roof of City Hall.
Green Home Certification Program
The purpose of the Laguna Wooods Green Homes program is to encourage and reward residents who incorporate sustainable practices in their homes, thereby improving the environmental health of the City. There are three levels of certification.
Project Update The City is reviewing its current zoning district and land use designations and may consider modifications at the end of 2010. Any such changes will require notice and a public hearing process. Click on this story for preliminary staff recommendations.
The following is a summary of the budget adopted by the City Council at its June 24, 2009 meeting. This budget is a $22 million package of services, programs and projects for the benefit of Laguna Woods' residents and businesses. It includes $9.5 million of current year programs and $12.5 million of capital improvement project funding carried forward from the prior fiscal years.
The City of Laguna Woods is located in the Saddleback Valley area of South Orange County, ten miles from the Pacific Ocean.
