In February, the City of Laguna Woods entered into a partnership with the Historical Society of Laguna Woods. 

Community Events
. Operation SAFE

Safe-guarding the quality of life of all of its residents is a priority for the City of Laguna Woods. But, we need your help to do that. The next Operation SAFE event is scheduled for Friday, May 23rd at 2 p.m. This meeting will focus on crime prevention and personal safety - practical tips to help you make yourself, your automobile and your home crime free. City Government Academy
. Proposed Fiscal Year 2008-09 General Fund Budget
The City is in the process of defining its Fiscal Year 2008-09 (July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009) budget. A number of public city council meetings have been scheduled to solicit public input and discuss the proposed budget. Meetings are scheduled for: 

     April 2nd    General Fund Projected Revenues and Proposed Base Budget
     April 16th   City Work Plan
     May 7th      Transportation/Grant Funds Projected Revenues and Budgets
     June 18th   City Manager's Proposed All Funds Budget
     June 26th   City Council Action of Proposed Budget
